About Me
Mic Trainer was invented by me, Chad Hadersbeck, a musician based in Denver, Colorado. I noticed that while playing guitar and singing, I often touched the microphone directly to my mouth even though I knew I wasn't supposed to. At band practice I often wondered why they didn't just make a physical device that attached to a microphone and gave users a guide for positioning.
(That's me!)
After being laid off during the pandemic, I decided to bet on myself and began the process of bringing Mic Trainer to life. I'd never invented anything before but had always been inspired by the Steve Jobs quote, “Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it.” So I got to work on designs and eventually prototypes.

After many iterations, the Mic Trainer you see today was born and the process of bringing it to the public began. I had to figure out applying for a patent (I got it!), manufacturing, packaging, launch plans, and a host of other things I never thought of. But eventually, I made it to launch at NAMM Show. And ya know what? The reception was pretty great.
And I even got some media coverage including an Editor's Choice Award from Music, Inc. magazine!
And here we are. You can buy them here. I'm not able to quit my day job yet but Mic Trainer keeps growing. And the feedback's been great. Singers, podcasters, audio professionals and more have improved their sound when using the mic. And they've said some nice stuff.
And I have some big goals for this year and a lot of promise that they'll come through. Can't wait to share them with you when the time's right. Thanks for reading and for your support.
